From April 1, 2024 to May 10, 2024, listen each weekday from 6:00am to 6:00pm for the Grand In Your Hand contest keyword(s).

Four keywords will be given each day, Monday through Friday, at various times of the day between 6am and 6pm.

Once you hear a keyword, go to pureoldies969.com to the Grand In Your Hand contest page. Complete the registration, including the correct contest keyword, for the chance to win $1,000 (ARV: $1,000 – Face value of check).

Listeners will have until the end of the day (11:59pm) to enter the four keywords before they expire. There will be a maximum entry of four times per day. There will be a possibility of 120 entries during the duration of the contest.

One winner per day will be randomly chosen from all eligible entrants on the following business day (4/2/2024-5/13/2024) and notified by phone and email. Each winner will be awarded $1,000. The phone number from the chosen entry will be called and the reaction recorded for broadcast after receiving the winner’s permission to record and broadcast the conversation.  If the chosen entrant is notified by email, voicemail, or other answering device, he or she will have 24 hours from the time we contact them to respond.  If the chosen entrant does not contact us back within the time limit, he or she will be disqualified, and another winner will be chosen from all eligible entrants.  This process will continue until a winner is identified.  There will be 30 winners, for a total of $30,000 given away. We will make reasonable efforts to award Prizes within 30 days after winning. The winner will be notified by phone when the check is ready for pick up at the station.

Pure Oldies 96.9 will conduct this contest concurrently and simultaneously with other affiliated radio stations, and in various states.  Listeners of Pure Oldies 96.9 will, therefore, be competing with listeners of other radio stations to win the same prize.  No purchase necessary. In the case of any query or discrepancy, the winner will ultimately be decided at the sole discretion of Saga Communications, Inc.

Pure Oldies 96.9 contests are open to all eligible Northampton, MA area Residents who live or work within 75 miles of our transmitter 18 or older who have not won anything on Pure Oldies 96.9 in the past 30 days or any prize valued at $600 or more in the past 6 months. Only one winner per household is permitted within 30 days after a household has a winner. Any prize awarded to an ineligible listener will be deemed null and void, and an alternate eligible winner may be named.

One entry per person, per keyword, per station in Northampton, MA area, for a total of 120 possible entries into the contest. Submitting more than the allowed entries will invalidate all entries by that contestant. Any entry submitted on behalf of another individual or using another person’s email address or name will be disqualified and ineligible to claim any prize.  Any attempt by any participant to obtain more than the stated number of entries allowed by using same, multiple/different email addresses, identities, or any other methods void that participant’s entries and that participant may be disqualified. In the event of a dispute as to any on-line registration, the authorized account holder of the e-mail address used to register will be deemed to be the registrant and he/she must be eligible according to these Official Rules. No mechanically reproduced or automated entries permitted.  Use of any automated system to participate is prohibited and will result in disqualification and all such entries will be deemed void.

Employees of Pure Oldies 96.9, Saga Communications of New England, Inc., and its ultimate parent company, Saga Communications, Inc., their advertising agencies, affiliates, contest sponsors, employees and immediate families of each, and employees of all media of mass communication within a one-hundred-mile radius of the Pure Oldies 96.9‘s main studio are not eligible to win any contest.  Immediate family includes the spouse, great-grandparents, grandparents, parents, brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of the employee and his/her spouse. This also includes individuals for whom the employee is current legal guardian.

No purchase necessary. Pure Oldies 96.9’s sole responsibility will be to award the prize. Pure Oldies 96.9 will have no further responsibility in connection with the prize if the prize winner, for any reason, cannot or decides not to use any of the prizes. Winners will be responsible for all federal and state taxes, and any fees and incidentals. Prizes are not transferrable or redeemable for cash.
